Archewell Team members volunteer for Earth Day 2023

To commemorate what is the 53rd annual Earth Day and " In the spirit of helping the planet and thinking local to impact the global" members of Harry and Meghan's Archewell Foundation team took part in a cleanup of the LA River in partnership with  LAWaterkeeper . 

Kind thoughts for Meghan Markle
Los Angeles Waterkeeper’s mission is to fight for the health of the region’s waterways, and for sustainable, equitable and climate-friendly water supplies. 

The Archewell team, under the guidance of LA Waterkeeper, spent the morning helping to clean up along the LA River, a river that it 2022 was named as one of America's most endangered rivers.

According to the LAWaterkeeper website: The LA River represents one of the few remaining freshwater habitats for native species in Los Angeles, yet the LA River has been treated for far too long as a polluted flood control channel instead of a living river that could provide a host of benefits to the Los Angeles region.

On the Archewell website, Meghan and Harry direct readers to the Earth Day organization website to find events near where we live where we also can do our little bit to help the planet.

I know we should not encourage the tabloids to hunt out pictures of Meghan, Harry and Archie, but it was lovely to see a recent pic. of the "Adorable Archie" just ahead of his second birthday on May 6th 2021. Archewell Foundation's newly appointed Co-Executive Director gets straight to work

At the start of 2023, Meghan and Harry announced some staffing changes for their Archewell organization that included the appointment of Shauna Nep as a Co-Executive Director of Archewell Foundation (AWF). Shauna, a graduate of the University of British Columbia and having a masters degree from New York University, had most recently worked as a Vice-President of Philanthropy at Scooter Braun’s SB Projects.  Getting straight to work Shauna together with the existing Executive Director, James Holt, signed  Archewell Foundation's just published 2020-2022 Impact Statement .  The impact statement provided a great overview of the work completed by Harry and Meghan's Foundation over the past two years and includes a brief section called "Looking Ahead." Prince Harry joins Dax Shepard and Monica Padman on the podcast Armchair Expert

Prince Harry was a guest of Dax Shepard and Monica Padman in episode 325 of their podcast, Armchair Expert. During the hour and a half episode, the trio touched on many issues relating to trauma, addictions, mental health and emotional well-being.  Harry also spoke about life in the Royal Family (including some notable moments before he married Meghan) and they touched on his reasons for leaving. Harry, Dax and Monica talked about Harry's life in the British Army, press intrusion into family life, and about some of the pros and cons of social media.
