Archewell Foundation team members volunteer at a Martin Luther King JR. Day 2023 community service event

Per a post on Meghan and Harry's Archewell website, staff from their Archewell Foundation joined the Mission Continues Los Angeles Service Platoon for a day of service in honor of Martin Luther King Junior Day 2023. The group worked at the Compton Avenue located Watts Health Center (part of the non-profit Watts Healthcare) installing new outdoor seating, flowers and landscaping. This continues a tradition seeing Archewell staff participating in community services events on or around each MLK day.

Watts Healthcare describe their goal as to improve the health of the community they serve by creating easier access to quality clinical, preventative, and specialty healthcare services. Watts Healthcare started as a grassroots clinic in 1967 and has grown into a comprehensive center that provides, via their multiple locations, an array of essential care to the community including a same-day appointment clinic, preventative care, dental and visions care, pediatrics, behavioral health, and much more.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday in the United States marking the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. It is observed on the third Monday of January each year.

I know we should not encourage the tabloids to hunt out pictures of Meghan, Harry and Archie, but it was lovely to see a recent pic. of the "Adorable Archie" just ahead of his second birthday on May 6th 2021. Archewell Foundation's newly appointed Co-Executive Director gets straight to work

At the start of 2023, Meghan and Harry announced some staffing changes for their Archewell organization that included the appointment of Shauna Nep as a Co-Executive Director of Archewell Foundation (AWF). Shauna, a graduate of the University of British Columbia and having a masters degree from New York University, had most recently worked as a Vice-President of Philanthropy at Scooter Braun’s SB Projects.  Getting straight to work Shauna together with the existing Executive Director, James Holt, signed  Archewell Foundation's just published 2020-2022 Impact Statement .  The impact statement provided a great overview of the work completed by Harry and Meghan's Foundation over the past two years and includes a brief section called "Looking Ahead." Prince Harry joins Dax Shepard and Monica Padman on the podcast Armchair Expert

Prince Harry was a guest of Dax Shepard and Monica Padman in episode 325 of their podcast, Armchair Expert. During the hour and a half episode, the trio touched on many issues relating to trauma, addictions, mental health and emotional well-being.  Harry also spoke about life in the Royal Family (including some notable moments before he married Meghan) and they touched on his reasons for leaving. Harry, Dax and Monica talked about Harry's life in the British Army, press intrusion into family life, and about some of the pros and cons of social media.
