Sussex followers launch their 2022 Holiday Season fundraiser - to gift Benches to the DeLeon Park in Uvalde, Texas.

Followers of the Twitter Account "Sussex Community Events" are asked to consider donating to a good cause in Meghan's and Harry's names. The on-line community run regular fundraisers for good causes, linked to the work that Harry and Meghan do themselves. For the 2022 Holiday Season the goal is to raise $4,000 (US) to purchase two benches to be placed in the DeLeon Park in Uvalde, Texas. 

As you will recall, Meghan and Harry's Archewell Foundation recently partnered with the City of Uvalde / other corporations and non-profits to install a new play-space for children and families to enjoy as they recover from the tragic school shooting that occurred in May of 2022. The bench theme also ties in with Meghan's children's book "The Bench" as well as Harry's yellow bench (to promote conversations) that he helped to paint during this year's Invictus Games in The Hague.

I know we should not encourage the tabloids to hunt out pictures of Meghan, Harry and Archie, but it was lovely to see a recent pic. of the "Adorable Archie" just ahead of his second birthday on May 6th 2021. And look at Meghan's bump. Baby No.2 is growing nicely and it appears that it won't be long before Archie's sister arrives. Was Archie off to a play date? Archewell Foundation's newly appointed Co-Executive Director gets straight to work

At the start of 2023, Meghan and Harry announced some staffing changes for their Archewell organization that included the appointment of Shauna Nep as a Co-Executive Director of Archewell Foundation (AWF). Shauna, a graduate of the University of British Columbia and having a masters degree from New York University, had most recently worked as a Vice-President of Philanthropy at Scooter Braun’s SB Projects.  Getting straight to work Shauna together with the existing Executive Director, James Holt, signed  Archewell Foundation's just published 2020-2022 Impact Statement .  The impact statement provided a great overview of the work completed by Harry and Meghan's Foundation over the past two years and includes a brief section called "Looking Ahead." Prince Harry joins Dax Shepard and Monica Padman on the podcast Armchair Expert

Prince Harry was a guest of Dax Shepard and Monica Padman in episode 325 of their podcast, Armchair Expert. During the hour and a half episode, the trio touched on many issues relating to trauma, addictions, mental health and emotional well-being.  Harry also spoke about life in the Royal Family (including some notable moments before he married Meghan) and they touched on his reasons for leaving. Harry, Dax and Monica talked about Harry's life in the British Army, press intrusion into family life, and about some of the pros and cons of social media.
