Polo season reopens in 2022 in Santa Barbara - will Prince Harry play?

Per an article in the Montecito Journal, after nearly two years of limited access to the public, the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club will reopen to the public on May 1st 2022 for the final in the first tournament game of the season. This will be the 111th season for the club, who are looking forward to seeing the stadium full of fans again.

The club, set on a beautiful pacific coast location, attracts world class players including Prince Harry's close friend Nacho Figueras (recently described by one reporter as "the David Beckham of polo.")

According to the Montecito Journal article, Prince Harry has been spotted stick and balling at the Santa Barbara club so as to keep up his polo skills

Meanwhile Harry's friend Nacho is in the area and, per his own Instagram account, is playing on a team this weekend in Santa Barbara, in the Harry East Memorial. Nacho's team is called Los Padres, after the National Forest. His presence leads credence to the rumours that Prince Harry might join him at some point for a game or two, especially given that Harry, Meghan and their children live nearby in Montecito.
