Women for Afghan Women Org. (WAW) thank Meghan Markle & Prince Harry for their generous donation

Civil society organization Women for Afghan Women (WAW) have posted messages of thanks to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for the couple's recent donation that was made through their Archewell Foundation.

WAW state that they are "immensely grateful for the generosity of the Archewell Foundation in support of our efforts to evacuate/relocate thousands of Afghan women, children, families, including our staff" out of Afghanistan follow the take-over of power by the Taliban.

Kind thoughts for Meghan Markle
Per the WAW website,  the WAW organization is dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of disenfranchised Afghan women and girls in Afghanistan and New York. In particular, WAW works to help Afghan women and girls exercise their rights to pursue their individual potential to self-determination, and to representation in all areas of life—political, social, cultural, and economic.

WAW state that in the past 2 decades they have been relentlessly advocating for women’s rights and challenging the norms that underpin life for Afghan women and girls, through providing what they describe as " life changing, community based programs" including such things as: family counseling, education, practical and vocational training, meeting the needs of over 8,000 clients every year.
