The Queen and Prince Charles admit they need to improve on Racial Diversity in their hiring.

According to a BBC on-line news report  The Queen and Prince Charles will be disclosing in their annual financial reports the percentage of their Royal household staff that are from 'ethnic minority' backgrounds. The BBC reports that currently only 8.5% of the Queen's staff and 8% of Prince Charles' staff are from minority backgrounds. There were no diversity figures released about Kate and William's staff at Kensington Palace which might suggest they have a lower percentage?

A Clarence House senior spokesperson said its proportion of ethnic minority staff was also 8%, adding: "It isn't good enough and we are determined to do better." The BBC reports that "Could do better" is the Palace's own verdict.

Kind thoughts for Meghan Markle
