Meghan Markle & Prince Harry share a story of a survivor of the 2017 Grenfell Tower Block fire

Through their Archewell website Meghan and Harry have shared the story of Hiwot Dagnachew, a survivor of the June 14th 2017 horrific Grenfell Tower block fire that led to the death of 72 people and which injured more than70 others. 

The story is called "The Day My Life Changed Forever" and describes the continuing effects of the fire on her life and the life of her children, as well as talking about the mental health issues that continue to this day, and finally acknowledging the organizations that have helped the family since that tragic day.

The Grenfell families continue to fight for justice and changes to the law.

Archewell Foundation's newly appointed Co-Executive Director gets straight to work

At the start of 2023, Meghan and Harry announced some staffing changes for their Archewell organization that included the appointment of Shauna Nep as a Co-Executive Director of Archewell Foundation (AWF). Shauna, a graduate of the University of British Columbia and having a masters degree from New York University, had most recently worked as a Vice-President of Philanthropy at Scooter Braun’s SB Projects.  Getting straight to work Shauna together with the existing Executive Director, James Holt, signed  Archewell Foundation's just published 2020-2022 Impact Statement .  The impact statement provided a great overview of the work completed by Harry and Meghan's Foundation over the past two years and includes a brief section called "Looking Ahead." Prince Harry joins Dax Shepard and Monica Padman on the podcast Armchair Expert

Prince Harry was a guest of Dax Shepard and Monica Padman in episode 325 of their podcast, Armchair Expert. During the hour and a half episode, the trio touched on many issues relating to trauma, addictions, mental health and emotional well-being.  Harry also spoke about life in the Royal Family (including some notable moments before he married Meghan) and they touched on his reasons for leaving. Harry, Dax and Monica talked about Harry's life in the British Army, press intrusion into family life, and about some of the pros and cons of social media.
