Meghan Markle & Prince Harry share poetry to honour the creation of the new US Federal Juneteenth Holiday

To honour the declaration of Juneteenth as a US Federal Holiday, Meghan and Harry have shared some poetry through their Archewell website. The poems have been made available to Meghan and Harry through the LA based Get Lit organization.

The 3 poems and accompanying YouTube videos are:

"And Hold, And Hold" by Cortunay Minor and Tamia Jackson and written especially for Juneteenth;

"Poplar Trees" by Cyrus Roberts reminding us of the terror of slavery; and

"Untitled" by Sierra Leone Anderson to help us think about the impact of our ancestors and about the history we want to create for our children.

Kind thoughts for Meghan Markle
