Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have announced their role as Campaign Chairs of Global Citizen’s VAX LIVE: "The Concert to Reunite the World", which has the aim of helping to lead a worldwide effort to equitably distribute the Covid-19 vaccines and treatments to everyone, everywhere

Hosted by Selena Gomez, the May 8th 2021 VAX LIVE concert will feature appearances by President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, President Emmanuel Macron of France, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada, and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković of Croatia, as well as performances by Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin, and H.E.R.

Kind thoughts for Meghan Markle
Per a post on Meghan and Harry's Archewell website, Meghan and Harry have been leading a coordinated drive across the private sector to raise critical funds for COVAX, which is the vaccine-sharing program co-led by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Meghan and Harry write:

“Over the past year, our world has experienced pain, loss, and struggle—together. Now we need to recover and heal—together. We can’t leave anybody behind,” 

Adding:

 “We will all benefit, we will all be safer, when everyone, everywhere has equal access to the vaccine. We must pursue equitable vaccine distribution, and in that, restore faith in our common humanity. This mission couldn’t be more critical or important.”

The aim of the concert is to get governments and corporations and NGOs to pledge $19 billion and to get 1.8 billion Covid-19 vaccine doses plus tests and treatments to the poorest countries by the end of 2021, and to try and get more than 27 million frontline workers vaccinated. 

Some donations have already been made. The TV special will air on channels all around the world and on the Global Citizen channel on YouTube.

Archewell Foundation's newly appointed Co-Executive Director gets straight to work

At the start of 2023, Meghan and Harry announced some staffing changes for their Archewell organization that included the appointment of Shauna Nep as a Co-Executive Director of Archewell Foundation (AWF). Shauna, a graduate of the University of British Columbia and having a masters degree from New York University, had most recently worked as a Vice-President of Philanthropy at Scooter Braun’s SB Projects.  Getting straight to work Shauna together with the existing Executive Director, James Holt, signed  Archewell Foundation's just published 2020-2022 Impact Statement .  The impact statement provided a great overview of the work completed by Harry and Meghan's Foundation over the past two years and includes a brief section called "Looking Ahead." Prince Harry joins Dax Shepard and Monica Padman on the podcast Armchair Expert

Prince Harry was a guest of Dax Shepard and Monica Padman in episode 325 of their podcast, Armchair Expert. During the hour and a half episode, the trio touched on many issues relating to trauma, addictions, mental health and emotional well-being.  Harry also spoke about life in the Royal Family (including some notable moments before he married Meghan) and they touched on his reasons for leaving. Harry, Dax and Monica talked about Harry's life in the British Army, press intrusion into family life, and about some of the pros and cons of social media.
