Prince Harry sets out his Mission as Chief Impact Officer at coaching corp. BetterUp

Alexi Robichaux, CEO of BetterUp, introduced his company's new / first Chief Impact Officer, our very own Prince Harry.

Briefly, BetterUp is an on-line coaching service. Individuals can use the service to access a personal development coach. Companies can partner with BetterUp to bring transformative experiences to their staff and use technology to measure growth in their organization. 

Kind thoughts for Meghan Markle

Prince Harry will be part of the executive team. Harry will expand on the work he’s been doing for years in his various charities. His work will involve educating and inspiring users of the BetterUp service on the importance of focusing on preventative mental fitness and human potential. 

Harry has set himself 4 initial missions:

  1. Driving advocacy and awareness for mental fitness. 
  2. Guiding BetterUp’s social mission and impact to bring the science of peak performance and human potential into the hands of people worldwide.
  3. Influencing the vision of BetterUp’s platform, community, and member experience.
  4. Expanding BetterUp’s global community of thought leadership, coaches, customers, and members through outreach and strategic planning.

In the press release to announce Harry's appointment, Harry advised he has used the BetterUp service in his personal life. Harry said:

"I’ve personally found working with a BetterUp coach to be invaluable. I was matched with a truly awesome coach who has given me sound advice and a fresh perspective. And because we believe in strengthening our own mental fitness, our entire Archewell team also has access to BetterUp coaching."

Prince Harry added:

"As BetterUp’s first Chief Impact Officer, my goal is to lift up critical dialogues around mental health, build supportive and compassionate communities, and foster an environment for honest and vulnerable conversations. And my hope is to help people develop their inner strength, resilience, and confidence."

Archewell Foundation's newly appointed Co-Executive Director gets straight to work

At the start of 2023, Meghan and Harry announced some staffing changes for their Archewell organization that included the appointment of Shauna Nep as a Co-Executive Director of Archewell Foundation (AWF). Shauna, a graduate of the University of British Columbia and having a masters degree from New York University, had most recently worked as a Vice-President of Philanthropy at Scooter Braun’s SB Projects.  Getting straight to work Shauna together with the existing Executive Director, James Holt, signed  Archewell Foundation's just published 2020-2022 Impact Statement .  The impact statement provided a great overview of the work completed by Harry and Meghan's Foundation over the past two years and includes a brief section called "Looking Ahead." Prince Harry joins Dax Shepard and Monica Padman on the podcast Armchair Expert

Prince Harry was a guest of Dax Shepard and Monica Padman in episode 325 of their podcast, Armchair Expert. During the hour and a half episode, the trio touched on many issues relating to trauma, addictions, mental health and emotional well-being.  Harry also spoke about life in the Royal Family (including some notable moments before he married Meghan) and they touched on his reasons for leaving. Harry, Dax and Monica talked about Harry's life in the British Army, press intrusion into family life, and about some of the pros and cons of social media.
