Meghan Markle donates proceeds from Hubb Community Cookbook to UK community group working in a deprived area of Nottingham

According to an article published in Harpers Bazaar UK Meghan has donated some additional proceeds from the 2018 Hubb Community Cookbook, to Himmah, a grass roots community-based initiative tackling poverty, racism and social exclusion. Himmah is located in Hyson Green, one of the most poor and diverse communities in the East Midlands.

Kind thoughts for Meghan Markle

Per the Himmah website the organization services the needs of the people in their local community in various ways, including tackling food poverty and in campaigning about racism, gender equality, LGBTQ and people facing disability and mental health issues.

Himmah began 10 years ago, after a chance encounter between the organization's Director and a homeless man in Nottingham. The journey to feed, house and settle this man, resulted in the creation of a charity.

Working side by side Himmah is The Salaam Shalom Kitchen a joint Muslim / Jewish project to provide free meals to people in Nottingham who may be struggling.

You can see why Meghan donated to this organization. It ticks all the right boxes in terms of what Meghan stands for.

Kind thoughts for Meghan Markle
