Meghan Markle & Prince Harry made a donation to a New Zealand social enterprise in Archie's name.

On January the 1st of 2020 a cute picture of Archie was released by Meghan and Harry, taken during their stay in Canada. The photo shows Prince Harry standing on the shoreline cuddling 8 month old Archie, with Archie wearing a handknitted pompom hat purchased from the New Zealand group Make Give Live.

Archie's photo created an "Archie Effect" sky-rocketing demand for the hats.

According to an article published in the New Zealand Herald a few days before Christmas 2020, Harry and Meghan got in touch with the Make Give Live knitwear social enterprise and they purchased 100 hats in Archie's name.

The article says that Make Give Live founder Claire Conza received a letter from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that arrived a few days before Christmas with news of the purchase. Ms. Conza described this as a "wonderful gift for the organisation." She added, that as Make Give Live operates on a buy one, give one model, this will allow the group to make an extra 200 hats to distribute to families in need next winter through the various charities it supports. Listen to my Podcast to hear more!
