Meghan Celebrates 1st Anniversary of her Smart Works UK Capsule Collection, meeting clients from the Manchester branch.

This time last year Meghan's Smart Works Capsule Collection campaign was launched. This was a two week campaign where basic business clothing could be purchased from John Lewis, Marks & Spencer's, Jigsaw and Misha Nonoo

These fashion houses donated back to the charity on a 1:1 model. For every item purchased by a customer, another was given to help a woman get back into the workplace.

Smart Works not only offers interview clothing but also important mentoring and interview skills training, to give women the confidence that they need to re-enter the work place.

To celebrate the first anniversary, Meghan sat down to speak to clients Karla, Charlene and Agnieszka, who had help from the Smart Works UK Manchester branch, to see how their time at Smart Works helped to transform their lives.

Each of the ladies told their particular story of how they needed a little bit of help to guide them through the job interview process. One client had not been for a job interview for 20 years and you can appreciate how interviews have changed in that time.

Meghan asked them to each give one best tip / explain the one big thing they had learned from their experience with Smart Works. The ladies came up with the following advice:

1. Believe in yourself

2. Don't be afraid to articulate your strengths

3. Have confidence in yourself - Go For It!
