One of Meghan Markle's favourite bakeries is launching a cookbook "Rising Hope"

Rising Hope is the name of a soon to be released cookbook from London based Luminary Bakery, a social enterprise that supports disadvantaged women, including those who were homeless, imprisoned, or sex trafficking victims, by teaching them how to bake. Meghan visited these bakeries on a couple of occasions when she was living in the UK.

Each chapter of the book will feature approximately 10 delicious recipes – from show-stopping cakes and small cakes, to desserts and breads. Every recipe carries a woman’s name and a short introduction by that woman, explaining why she chose the recipe and what it means to her.

The cookbook will contain gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options, as well as options for those short on resources or time. The book can be pre-ordered from on-line book stores, and is set for general release at the end of August / early September 2020.

Checkout my podcast for more information on the good work of Luminary.

Also in the news this week, With Nothing Underneath (WNU), creator's of women's organic cotton down shirts like the one Meghan wore when she visited Luminary last year, have become a corporate partner of the bakery. They have donated a portion of the profits from the sale of the shirt worn by Meghan.
