Migrant Charity "Migrateful UK" receives donation from Meghan Markle through the Cambridge's Royal Foundation.

UK Charity Migrateful has thanked the Duchess of Sussex for an eight-thousand pound donation that they have received in her name, along with a message from Meghan: "This email comes with The Duchess' very best wishes to you and the incredible people you support." 

Migrateful posted "We couldn't believe our eyes when we read this! We're so excited to share that we have received a donation of £8000 from The Royal Foundation on behalf of The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle! We are so honoured and ecstatic that the work of Migrateful has been discovered by The Duchess, and immensely grateful for this donation which will go towards supporting our mission."

Migrateful describe their mission on their website as  empowering and celebrating refugees and vulnerable migrants on their journey to integration, by supporting them to run their own cookery classes.

They note that for migrants, due to linguistic and social barriers, finding work can be extremely difficult and being unable to provide for themselves and their families can have significant effects on their self esteem and mental health. What they can do is cook and they teach others how to make food from their former countries of residence. The cooking classes are open to everybody interested to learn, which can include companies looking for team building exercises for their staff. 

As Meghan loves to help people and loves to cook, it is no surprise that she found this charity.

Archewell Foundation's newly appointed Co-Executive Director gets straight to work

At the start of 2023, Meghan and Harry announced some staffing changes for their Archewell organization that included the appointment of Shauna Nep as a Co-Executive Director of Archewell Foundation (AWF). Shauna, a graduate of the University of British Columbia and having a masters degree from New York University, had most recently worked as a Vice-President of Philanthropy at Scooter Braun’s SB Projects.  Getting straight to work Shauna together with the existing Executive Director, James Holt, signed  Archewell Foundation's just published 2020-2022 Impact Statement .  The impact statement provided a great overview of the work completed by Harry and Meghan's Foundation over the past two years and includes a brief section called "Looking Ahead." Prince Harry joins Dax Shepard and Monica Padman on the podcast Armchair Expert

Prince Harry was a guest of Dax Shepard and Monica Padman in episode 325 of their podcast, Armchair Expert. During the hour and a half episode, the trio touched on many issues relating to trauma, addictions, mental health and emotional well-being.  Harry also spoke about life in the Royal Family (including some notable moments before he married Meghan) and they touched on his reasons for leaving. Harry, Dax and Monica talked about Harry's life in the British Army, press intrusion into family life, and about some of the pros and cons of social media.
