Sophie Lis love pendent worn by the Duchess of Sussex helps raise money for homeless dogs
Back in March of this year at one of Meghan's last official appointments as a senior royal, she visited London's National Theatre. At her engagement Meghan wore a Love Pendent designed by London based jeweller Sophie Lis.
It turns our there was a deeper purpose behind this choice of jewellery. For each Love Pendent sold, ten per cent of sales goes directly to the Wild at Heart Foundation, an organization that rehomes and neuters stray dogs.
Sophie Lis just announced that they have donated £10,000 from sales of love pendants in the past two months. The announcement includes: "special thanks to @sussexroyal for raising awareness and hence funds for this wonderful charity." The Wild at Heart Foundation also posted on social media to express its gratitude.
Per their website, the Wild at Heart Foundation wants to end the suffering of stray dogs all over the world. They believe that each and every rescue dog deserves the chance to live a healthy, happy life, free from the threat of pain, suffering, cruelty, or neglect.
Sophie Lis' pieces are inspired by the Cosmos. The company commits to responsible business practice which entails carefully choosing their suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the whole supply chain is transparent, sustainable, and positive from sourcing through to delivery.
These two organizations perfectly match Meghan's ideals.
