Meghan Markle & Prince Harry remembering 1 year-ago today - Archie's Birthday

This time last year we were all excitedly awaiting news of the birth of Meghan and Harry's first child, later to be named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The UK media were already in a snit because they did not know where the baby was being born. This meant they would not get a photo op. of the new arrival on the steps of the hospital. The media had been speculating for weeks that Meghan was having a home birth with a doula. On May 6th, 2019, the news broke and none of the rumours mattered anymore. An Instagram message on the @sussexroyal account announced, "It's a Boy". Later an over the moon Prince Harry came out and addressed the media and the world and looking ever so much a proud dad.

I know we should not encourage the tabloids to hunt out pictures of Meghan, Harry and Archie, but it was lovely to see a recent pic. of the "Adorable Archie" just ahead of his second birthday on May 6th 2021. And look at Meghan's bump. Baby No.2 is growing nicely and it appears that it won't be long before Archie's sister arrives. Was Archie off to a play date? (And in case anyone wants to bitch about the fact that Meghan is not wearing head-to-toe black, in mourning for Prince Phillip, Princess Anne was out and about this week wearing a very non-black hue called Red - just getting this in first before the trolls start) Photo as published by the New York Post

Archewell Foundation's newly appointed Co-Executive Director gets straight to work

At the start of 2023, Meghan and Harry announced some staffing changes for their Archewell organization that included the appointment of Shauna Nep as a Co-Executive Director of Archewell Foundation (AWF). Shauna, a graduate of the University of British Columbia and having a masters degree from New York University, had most recently worked as a Vice-President of Philanthropy at Scooter Braun’s SB Projects.  Getting straight to work Shauna together with the existing Executive Director, James Holt, signed  Archewell Foundation's just published 2020-2022 Impact Statement .  The impact statement provided a great overview of the work completed by Harry and Meghan's Foundation over the past two years and includes a brief section called "Looking Ahead." Looking ahead, Archewell Foundation (AWF) Executor's say that they will maintain "an unwavering commitment to key issues which have an overwhelming ripple effect on our collective well-being.... including working to

Prince Harry joins Dax Shepard and Monica Padman on the podcast Armchair Expert

Prince Harry was a guest of Dax Shepard and Monica Padman in episode 325 of their podcast, Armchair Expert. During the hour and a half episode, the trio touched on many issues relating to trauma, addictions, mental health and emotional well-being.  Harry also spoke about life in the Royal Family (including some notable moments before he married Meghan) and they touched on his reasons for leaving. Harry, Dax and Monica talked about Harry's life in the British Army, press intrusion into family life, and about some of the pros and cons of social media.
