Prince Harry & Meghan Markle volunteer with Project Angel Food program in LA
Harper's Bazaar in the US report in today's online edition how Meghan and Harry have been volunteering for Project Angel Food outreach program in Los Angeles, by delivering meals to at-risk people with life-threatening illnesses who are stuck at home due to their illnesses.
According the article Meghan and Harry have worked two shifts so far, the first on Easter Sunday and again this past Wednesday, when they helped to deliver a week’s worth of prepared meals and emergency kits with non-perishables to dozens of people too sick to shop and cook for themselves.
"They told
us they heard our drivers were overloaded and wanted to volunteer to lighten
the drivers’ workload,” Project Angel Food’s executive director, Richard Ayoub,
told a local news site serving the West Hollywood community. Demand for food deliveries has increased since the outbreak of Covid-19.

One client spoke about his delivery from Meghan and Harry: “They
were both nice and very down-to earth people,” he said. “They
had masks on, and they were dressed down with jeans, but very nice jeans.” “I thought that
tall red-headed guy looked pretty familiar, and that girl was very pretty. Then
I saw the large black SUVs with the security guards behind them.”
