Far away by not Forgotten - Meg reconnects with Hubb Community Kitchen for new project

Meghan may have moved to LA but she remains in touch with groups in the UK with whom she made connections with when living there.

The women at the Hubb Community Kitchen were one of the first women's group that Meghan made friends with. Meghan often visited with the ladies, both publicly and privately, taking both her mother and Prince Harry with her on a few of these visits.

Together, in 2018 they launched a prizewinning cook book, "Together Our Community" that raised money that was used to help expand the kitchen and their services, and benefitted local residents impacted by the June 2017 West Kensington, Grenfell Tower fire, a fire that completed destroyed a high-rise apartment building and killed many people in that community.

Meghan congratulated the women on a new project. An expanded service is being launched to help families struggling during the coronavirus lockdown. Starting this coming Monday, the group of more than 17 women will begin cooking 250 to 300 nutritious meals a day, three days a week. A short clip of a zoom chat between Meghan and a few of the ladies has been posted on You Tube.
