Prince Harry's Invictus Games The Hague 2020 Postponed

The Board of the Invictus Games The Hague 2020, along with the Invictus Games Foundation, have announced that due to Covid-19 issues they are unfortunately forced to reschedule the games that were planned to take place between 9 to 16 May 2020.

It is noted on the Invictus Games website (where Harry is also in a short video apologizing for the postponement) that the board are investigating all options to reschedule the Invictus Games, possibly to May or June 2021. Significant planning to see what the options are for 2021 is underway. They add that competitors from the 20 nations involved have been hard at work training for these Invictus Games as part of their recovery process. However, the safety and wellbeing of these wounded, injured or sick Servicemen and women, and their friends and family, is paramount.

The decision will likely be a disappointment for the servicemen and servicewomen who had been looking forward to the Games and who have trained hard in anticipation. However, they likely had expected this decision given recent events around the world. Better to be safe then sorry.
