Meghan Markle Making New Connections in Vancouver

Meghan made an informal visit to a women's shelter in Vancouver yesterday.

Having been photographed by paparazzi boarding a boat plane from Vancouver Island earlier in the day it turns out Meghan was off to continue doing her good work. The Downtown Eastside Women's Shelter posted a photo of staff with Meghan on their Face Book page with a caption look who dropped in for tea.

According to their website the mission of the Downtown Eastside shelter is to provide a safe non-judgmental environment for women from all walks of life. The services provided at the shelter include providing meals, counselling, advocacy and programs which nurture and empower members. The shelter was established in 1978. It is not clear if Meghan is intending to create a formal working relationship with the shelter but it is good to see her continuing her work with those in need.
