This is no light weight affair. Delegates participate in various events over the 4 day summit including listening to transformative speeches and panel discussions, taking part in workshops and networking. Delegates can apply to give their own keynote speech sharing the platform with world leaders and with the world's media listening in.
Speakers at this year's summit include Sir Richard Branson, Sir John Major, Sir Bob Geldorf, Dr. Jane Goodall, Mary Robinson, Ellie Goulding, Edward Enninful and Sinead Burke.
Topics for discussion include amongst others: business and technology; diversity in the media; mental health; the environment and sustainable development.
Meghan was well received as she entered the opening ceremony this evening (see the number of people with their phones out taking pictures!) She is scheduled to hold a round table discussion later this week to address the issue of gender equality worldwide, a cause she has supported since being a teen.
