Tourism is seen as important for the South African economy which is said to provide 1 job per every 12 international visitors. Tourism is particularly important for Cape Town. The journalist following Meghan and Harry were welcomed in Cape Town by the Tourism Minister who expressed his gratitude for the international exposure that Cape Town will get from the royal visit.
