Forces for Change - Duchess of Sussex & British Vogue

As rumoured the editor in chief of British Vogue magazine, Edward Enninful and the Duchess of Sussex have each officially confirmed that Meghan has guest edited and curated a special September addition of British Vogue focusing on the power of the collective and called "Forces for Change."

The magazine will feature amongst other inspirational articles, a Q & A session between the Duchess of Sussex and former US First Lady Michelle Obama as well as an interview between Prince Harry and Dr. Jane Goodall.

Meghan has chosen for the cover, photographs of 15 women from a wide range of backgrounds. She states that each of these women drive impact and raise the bar for equality, kindness, justice and open mindedness. The 16th space on the cover is a mirror so that readers can see their own image reflected and feel included. The benefits of kindness and being humane to each other is something we should all pay attention to.

Meghan described her work as "rewarding, educational and inspiring" and thanked Vogue and her friends and family for their support in this endeavour. Check out additional background to this project and video clips on the @sussexroyal Instagram account

A trailblazing piece of work that we have come to expect and that we appreciate from the Duchess.

FootnoteThe German photographer Peter Lindbergh captured the 15 cover stars for the September 2019 issue of British Vogue, his first cover for the magazine since the September 1992 issue. The cover shoot came together over three continents, several days, and - in a first for the magazine - via video link. Peter likes to take natural photos and he is against the use of heavy make up and photo touch ups. He complied with a wish from the Duchess to see 'freckles' on the cover.
