Meghan Markle - Collaboration to Support Smart Works

News is breaking fast and furiously this week from Frogmore Cottage. Royal reporter Omid Scobie, who often seems to have the inside scoop on all things to do with Meghan and Harry, has tweeted some news sure to please those of us who like to shop and want to feel good about it.

Duchess Meghan has revealed she has partnered with @marksandspencer, @jlandpartners (John Lewis and Partners), fashion store Jigsaw and friend @mishanonoo to launch a capsule collection of work wear to benefit Smart Works the nationwide charity that helps unemployed and vulnerable women back into the workplace. The collection, launching later this year, will sell on a one-for-one basis. For each item purchased by a customer, one is donated to charity. Meghan writes in @BritishVogue. Not only does this allow us to be part of each other’s story, it reminds us we are in it together.

Meghan
has since posted on the @sussexroyal Instagram account confirming that she will be supporting a collective to help equip the women of Smart Works with the key work wear essentials they need as they enter into the workplace. She adds, this initiative is supported by four generous brands who share the vision to empower the women of Smart Works to look and feel 💯 as they bravely venture into what can often be a daunting environment for those who have been out of the job market.

I look forward to seeing the clothing that results from this collaboration. Given that high street stores are involved we can hopefully look forward to being able to purchase affordable and well-designed pieces and support a good cause.
